VOLUNTEER
Green River Academy Preservation Society volunteers represent a wide range of individuals that all work together to restore, improve, and enhance the historic Green River Academy.
Volunteers perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to: greeting visitors and providing them information to enhance their visit to Green River Academy; working with children in various youth program activities; assisting historical character interpreters throughout the property; gardening both outside and in the greenhouses; supporting the archeology program in the lab and on site, and performing administrative functions at numerous locations. Volunteers carry out these duties during Green River Academy’s days of operation and also during special evening events throughout the year.
MISSION
To provide assistance to the Green River Academy Preservation Society in achieving a shared mission to preserve and protect the Academy and a heritage of expanding education, knowledge, and community benevolence to all people.
