Theatre Summer Camp Presents hercules
Green River Academy is thrilled to announce an extraordinary partnership with Todd County Board of Education, Beta Buddies, Pennyroyal Arts Council, and Missoula Children’s Theatre to bring the magical world of Hercules to life!

Vibrant Horizons
This bridge between past and present of shared experiences of celestial wonders, reminds us that history is not confined to black and white photographs or faded documents. The world of the Academy’s students was vibrant, filled with the same brilliant hues we saw in the Northern Lights. To honor that, our content now embraces a vivid color scheme inspired by the night sky—an artistic tribute to both the past and the boundless curiosity that has always driven our ambitions to do and learn more about our world.

A Birthday for the Green River Academy
190 years ago today, on September 26, 1834, a group of true visionaries gathered to address a critical need—the formal education of young women in Western Kentucky.

Even Though It Rained, the Hometown Harvest Was Still a Successful Endeavor
As a member of the Green River Academy Board of Directors, we want to express our thanks to the City of Elkton for hosting Hometown Harvest on September 14, 2024, and for earmarking the proceeds from the event to the GRA for the naming of the John Walton Memorial Hallway at the Green River Academy located at 204 Goebel Avenue for a period of 20 years.

The Academy’s Sidewalk Returns
Green River Academy is restoring its 1835 sidewalk, once in place for 50 years and removed when the building was converted into a residence around 1890.
