In 2024, fundraising began for the John E. Walton room in the Green River Academy in honor of Mr. John Emmet Walton, an original board member of the Green River Academy Preservation Society. The proceeds from fundraising in John’s memory will go towards the restoration of the Academy’s central hallway.
